Wizkid unfollows everyone on IG except one popular rapper (Screenshot)

Nigerian Grammy Award winner, Ayodeji Balogun, commonly known as Wizkid, has unfollowed all of his followers on Instagram, except for one.

This is the second time he’s done this in the span of a year since he unfollowed everyone he was following in November 2022.

However, Wizkid chose to have famous rapper Naira Marley as the only one on the list of people he follows.

He did not give a reason for this action, but fans are curious to know if something happened that influenced his decision.

Checking his IG page at the time of submitting this report shows that Big Wiz has 17 million followers and only follows Naira Marley back.

In other news, Online Personality, Daddy Freeze has said that the music superstar, Wizkid is almost on par with the late Afrobeats legend, Fela Anikulapo-Kuti.

The media personality stated this in a video shared on his social media site while delving into the feud between Wiz and industry rappers.

It may be recalled that in an interview with 10 magazine, the troubadour “Essence” said that rap is dead while arguing in favor of Afrobeats dominating the Hip Hop genre.

According to the founder of Starboy Entertainment, Hip Hop artists mostly rap on the same rhythm and they have a similar style.

Wiz also said Nigerian rappers who are not rappers lacked development and went on to list South Africa’s Nasty C and Ghana’s Sarkodie as ‘true rappers’ in Africa.

After that, Wizkid mainly received backlash from Nigerian rap artists, who responded to him online or released offensive raps.

In response to the conflict, Freeze argues that Wizkid made the remark, which came from an objective position imbued with experience.

He says the troubadour Ojuelegba has accomplished a lot and should be taken seriously whenever he offers constructive criticism.

OAP, whose support he is supporting Big Wiz, adds that only a handful of artists in Nigeria can boast of the achievements tied to Wizkid’s name in the music industry.
