“Why I disappeared from Nollywood” – Actor, Nonso Diobi opens up

Popular Nollywood actor, Nonso Diobi, opened up about the reason behind his long absence from the Nigerian entertainment scene.

The 46-year-old actor, who has been a prominent figure in the film industry for more than a decade and starred in several blockbusters before taking a long hiatus, shared this in an interview. recent interview with HipTV.

He explained that he’s been taking a break to gain more knowledge and expand his skills in order to bring something new and exciting to his fans.

Adding, Nonso said he has transitioned from acting to making, directing and producing his own films, saying that he currently has two films in the works.

In his words,

“So I basically say it this way. I always take time off to absorb more knowledge, become something else in the entertainment industry and also to continue to give the fans what they want. And that’s basically why I’ve been away from the scene for a while and I’ll be back with a big bang.

“Currently, I have two movies in the works and I will be making my public debut soon. Now, I can officially tell you that I’m also a filmmaker, not just the usual Nonso Diobi movie star you know.

“So now I’m also involved in directing. I’m producing my own movies, and it won’t be long before the fans really understand why I’m taking a break. Because entertainment is my life.”
