The Department of State Services (DSS) has confirmed that Mr. Godwin Emefiele, the suspended Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) is currently in custody for a number of investigative reasons.

Edujandon.com learned from top sources that the DSS had brought Emefiele from Lagos to the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja, after his arrest Friday night.
Edujandon.com further gathered that the struggling governor of CBN was fleeing Nigeria across the land border in Lagos when he was arrested by the DSS.
“Emefiele flew from Lagos to Abuja after the DSS arrested him. He was on the run across the land border when he was arrested. He was arrested last night in Lagos,” said an authorized source.
Edujandon.com previously reported that Emefiele’s arrest occurred on the same day as President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, suspending his office effective immediately.
