Prince Harry is seen as a ‘cannonball’ by the Royal Family while Meghan Markle appears ‘prepared to destroy’ the Institute, a royal expert has claimed.
Appearing in the documentary Harry & Meghan: Is America Against Them?, author Tom Quinn weighed in on the current attitude of the British Royal Family towards the Duke and Duchess of Sussex.
Over the past year, the couple has unleashed a series of attacks on the Royal Family.
In their Netflix documentary series, which reportedly paid £88million, Prince Harry, 38, accused his family of having ‘unconscious bias to a large extent’ and said he ‘scared’ Prince William as he ‘screamed and yelled at him’ during the infamous ‘Sandringham Summit’.
Earlier this year, Prince Harry alleged in his biography that his brother assaulted him at Nottingham Cottage on the grounds of Kensington Palace and also shared private messages that the Princess of Wales had sent his wife Princess Charlotte’s bridesmaid dress.
In the new Channel 5 documentary, royal experts discuss the Duke and Duchess’s plummeting popularity in America and the state of their relationship with the Company.
Channel 5 royal correspondent Tom Quinn claims that members of the Royal Family now see Prince Harry as a ‘cannonball’.
He said: ‘The Royal Family will be deeply saddened by the fact that they have this loose cannon, someone that William has [once] close to.’
Furthermore, the expert believes the royal believes Meghan is determined to ‘destroy’ the company.
Tom added: ‘[Harry] married to this woman who seems to be encouraging him to destroy the Royal Family.’
But no matter how many interviews the Duke and Duchess give about their time in the company, Tom says senior working royals will never respond to the allegations.
He continued: ‘Very sensible and in keeping with tradition, Royal [will never] say anything but things like “modifiable memories” about these various events.’
Following her 2021 interview with Oprah, the late Queen released a statement saying “some recollections may vary” about the various allegations the couple made.
The Queen said an allegedly racist comment made about the color of baby Archie by the Duke and Duchess of Sussex was ‘concerned’ and would be ‘addressed separately by the family’.
Elsewhere in the documentary, royal expert Richard Kay said Prince Harry ‘looked hot’ having only stayed in the UK for 28 hours to attend King Charles’ coronation last month .
The expert said: ‘That’s unwise, it sounds feisty.
“[It inferred] “I’m only here because I have to, because I’m the King’s son, but I can’t wait to go away.”
